Day 4: Treasured Items
October 4,2012
I have so many treasured items from the short nine months we spent with Gabriel. It was hard to only pick some for my photo when I just have so many things. We will start with the envelope labeled "Our Baby Forever", in it there are all of our ultrasound pictures from the pregnancy. I cherish them beyond belief and think back to how annoyed I was that we had so many ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy, now I am so thankful I do. It also holds a program from his funeral with a list of the songs we played at his funeral. It holds a certificate if life that the hospital gave us after his birth. Having someone acknowledge that even though our baby wasn't born breathing he still lived and someday I want to hang it on my wall. In the picture there is also a tuxedo onsie that was the outfit we had picked to bring him home in but soon turned into the outfit we wanted pictures done in of him. He also wore the tuxedo bib in these pictures. There is a small bag with a lock of his gorgeous brown hair, just like his daddys! We have a mold of one of his precious feet and a tiny hand that I proudly display on a shelf I have dedicated to him in my living room. There is a blue cup with his name on it that Gabriels uncle Max bought for him on Spring Break. The light blue blanket is the one from the hospital that he was wrapped in and the brown one is a blanket his Aunt Alyssa made for him. There is also a piece of tile from the baptismal font that Gabriel was supposed to be baptized in.
